You’re not alone. A session helping parents and carers supporting those on the autistic spectrum, autistic people and those awaiting diagnosis.
Kay Hunter, Head Teacher of Woodland View School, will be talking about transitions throughout education and giving some examples of successful approaches. Ashleigh Grant-Ng, Team Leader – Outreach/Local Area Coordination Social Work (Day Services), will be speaking on transitions from a Social Services viewpoint, from education into life beyond, and the support around to help with this in East Dunbartonshire.
We will also be running our popular “Panel Time” which will have Heather Wright from DIFFERabled and panellists on the autistic spectrum answering your questions. In our “Blether and Browse Time” you can catch up with support offered by local organisations and chat with others who have come.
With grateful thanks to the Scottish Governments Health & Wellbeing Fund in partnership with East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action, and Scottish Autism for part funding these events.
