Autism Services For Families
We understand that living with a child on the autistic spectrum makes family life different. Our services are provided with these differences in mind.
A safe, inclusive, autism friendly environment for the whole family, not just those members who are on the spectrum or going through diagnosis. Whether everyone in the family comes or not, we ask at least one parent or carer to stay and have responsibility for their children. The Playscheme is currently being held outside with activities changing each month. Bookings are being made online using this website, please check the Playscheme event list for booking options. Please get in touch to be added to the mailing list if you would like notifications each time registration opens.
10.00am to 11.30am one Saturday a month during the school year.
Bearsden Baptist Church,
14 Roman Road, Bearsden, G61 2SL.
We are not currently charging anything, though there is the option to make a donation.
We provide a selection of teas, coffees, juice, and snacks, though families are also welcome to bring their own.
Lego®-based Therapy Sessions
Research has shown that Lego®-based Therapy is a fun, effective intervention to promote the social skills of those on the autistic spectrum. We use the prescribed framework of the therapy and support participants to work in teams of 2 or 3 with adult supervision. Initially they build kits by following the instructions and when they’re ready they design and build models together.
There is an upcoming series of sessions each Thursday from the 1st September to 13th October between 4:45pm and 5:45pm. The cost is £224 for the whole course.
The course will take place at the Bearsden Baptist Church, 14 Roman Road, Bearsden, G61 2SL.

We create safe environments for individual clients to explore strategies which enrich their lives. Using an inclusive approach we ensure that learning is fun. Bespoke programmes are created for each client and reviewed regularly. Sessions last either 30 minutes or 1 hour and are currently being held online.
We are not offering one-one-one sessions at the moment.
We understand that living with someone on the autistic spectrum can be very challenging. Issues arise which are not present within normal family life. When faced with these issues it can be difficult to know where to turn or what to do. Our consultations are for those times, or for anyone who needs a listening ear. Come with an issue and leave with a plan which will be emailed to you afterwards. All consultations are currently being held online.
The cost is £70 per hour.
