Autism Services For Schools and Professionals

We understand that having children on the Autistic Spectrum is both rewarding and challenging for all involved. Our services show how it is possible to encourage their potential and deal with the challenges.

Services

Lego®-based Therapy Training (also called Lego® Therapy)

Research has shown that Lego®-based Therapy can help those on the autistic spectrum learn social skills. Our training outlines the framework introduced by Daniel LeGoff. June Grindley, our trainer, explains her own experience of successfully using the technique since 2010.

Each workshop is interactive and includes time to practise what you have learned. For example, we run half-day workshops regularly in Bearsden, provide in-house training during an in-service day, and conduct online courses via Zoom. Prices start at £75 for individuals attending our trainings.

Alternatively, we also offer an online Lego®-based Therapy course using bitesize videos so that you can learn at your own pace. For more information, including on how to enrol, please go to our Online Course Page.

Planned dates for upcoming Lego®-based Therapy training sessions are below. Each of these will take place between 9:30am and 12:30pm. In person sessions will take place at Bearsden Baptist Church, 14 Roman Road, Bearsden, G61 2SL.

In Person Training sessions:
Wednesday 4th October 2023

Packages

We will happily put together a package of training and facilitation sessions for Lego®-based Therapy. Please contact us for more details.

Consultations

We understand that people on the autistic spectrum think and act in different ways. This can prove to be very challenging. We offer impartial, online consultations for staff and professionals where we explore the differences together, and ways to handle them.

Cost: £70 per hour.

Lego-based Therapy Facilitation Sessions

We recognise that it is not always possible for staff to commit the time to organise Lego®-based Therapy Sessions. Therefore, we offer facilitation sessions where we take either a lead or supporting role using online tools. The framework has a built-in flexibility allowing us to work with each individual on specific social communication skills as required. One of our team would meet with your staff in advance to gain an understanding of the stage of the participants. We would then facilitate sessions by either taking a lead or a supporting role.

Please note this is a therapeutic intervention and not simply a Lego Club. As such, we limit the number of places to 7.
Prices depend on the level of support required. Please contact us for details.
